Laughter IS the best medicine. This is one of the Kindle books that I will keep around--cause Lord knows I need a good laugh now and then--and re-read just to entertain myself.I laughed out loud so much reading this book (on the treadmill at the gym, reading on a Kindle) that I'm certain all of the testosterone-laden men, on their serious big-men manchines, thought I was a completely freaking crazy lady. Haha. I loved all of the essays so much--I almost cried from laughing, more than once, at the gym. I couldn't stop laughing (and since some people don't know what an eReader is, and the Paperwhite is really skinny and blends in with the treadmill stand, I'm sure the guys thought I was schizophrenic). The read was just #toofunny.
I think the story '5 Lindas and a Tracy Lynn,' could be the inspiration for a hilarious chick-flick movie. So very much, laugh-out-loud funny. Linda S. Amstutz is riotously honest, naughtily funny, and clever as only a wry Southern woman, who writes on topics from planning one's own funeral to new conjugal bliss (and conjugal bliss ever-after, for that matter), and more much, with a deadpan, rapier wit could be.
I loved the essay/story about unbidden dreams of doing the naughty, with a sexy celebrity, to be farqing hilarious and entirely delicious.
Keep in mind, this book isn't just funny. I also cried while reading it, more than once--the essay on body image and self-love was so poignant and meaningful, really beautiful powerful writing that flowed. If you're a women, or love women, you will love this book.

This is the second book I have read by Ms. Amztutz. In "A Piece of Cake" her collection of this wide range of subjects kept me laughing through each and every situation. This is a must read for everyone who appreciates good humor. VERY entertaining!!
